My HSM girl

I just can’t believe how time flies especially when it comes to raising a child. I am talking about my almost 5 year old daughter Miriam who is now into High School Musical stuff. Lately, she’s been watching this HSM movies non-stop, right when she wakes up in the morning until before she went to bed at night. She memorized all the lines that these HSM teenagers been saying and singing. She told me that she wants HSM theme for her birthday. She even asked me to search for a HSM birthday cake online hehehe…One thing that she also mentioned is that her next bedroom would be full of HSM stuff. I can’t believe how much she has grown from a little child who used to love veggietale into a girl who now loves teenager stuff. I think that what makes her go crazy about HSM is the singing or the musical features on it. I know for sure that she is musically inclined even before she was born. I remember being pregnant with her, when I put the speaker closer to my belly and let her listen to music, she would stop kicking me but the moment I turned off the speaker, she’ll start kicking again. It was really fun how she would interact to music. I just hope and pray that she would use her gifts or talents for God’s glory.

Here are some of the new pictures below of my HSM girl. The first pic was taken last Friday morning while we’re on our way to the gym. The second pic was taken yesterday, in our front yard. My husband said that she kinda look like Vanessa Hudgens of the HSM. Hmmm….maybe just a little bit?

Miami vacation someday

I just met a new friend at church who is also a filipina like me. She and her husband moved here in Washington not too long ago because of their jobs transferred here. They used to live in Miami. Although they consider Washington as their home already, they still have properties in Miami where they entrusted them to tenants. Anyway, talking about Miami, me and my husband are thinking about taking a vacation there someday. We heard so many great things about Miami and we’re so excited to visit. One of these Miami Beach rentals would make our vacation so memorable and really a blast. It is going to be a dream come true for us and we can’t wait for that time to finally happen. Staying in a place that is overlooking the water is so fantastic. It’s like being in a paradise. What I need to do right now is to start saving for this vacation. I am so excited now!

Wednesday!

Since we got back home from our vacation, I decided that I will never skip going to the gym to work out, rain or shine! I did it for the first week and was able to run at least 5 miles a day. I felt really great and satisfied especially because I made it despite the nasty weather here in Washington. Although it was so hard for me to wake up early in the morning and tag along Miriam to go to the gym, its all worth it knowing the fact that we have enjoyed our walk together and get to spend quality time with each other too. We have a huge umbrella that gives Miriam the excitement to brave the rain too. Anyway, a week after this my friend called me if I could babysit her daughter since our other friend who was supposed to babysit her, cannot make it. I felt frustrated because I am so used to be with my child alone and we love our special time together. In addition to that, I love my work out. I said yes to my friend, anyway. She told me that the next day, our other friend will babysit her daughter. That was totally fine with me if I can miss just 1 day at the gym. The next day came, me and Miriam were getting ready to go to the gym when my friend came and asked me to babysit her daughter again because our other friend’s daughter got sick and obviously cannot babysit another child. I totally understand but part of me is really frustrated. To make the story short, I was babysitting my friend’s daughter for the entire week.

Well, this week is different. I didn’t have to babysit my friend’s daughter. Me and Miriam had fun going on a walk together. She loves to be with her friends at the kid’s club while I was enjoying my time at the gym too. I was able to run another 5.30 miles this morning, etc. I feel great! Thanks God for the strength! I hope that I will be able to maintain this very important activity. I always think that our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit and that we should take care of it. One way of loving God is to take care of our body.

Tuesday!

I had my canon camera on a tripod and Miriam accidentally tripped over it that caused damage to it. I can’t blame her because I know it was my fault. We got it at Bestbuy and good thing we had the premium warranty plan. The price is all worth it because they will repair the camera or replace it for a new one. Anyway, we got a call from Bestbuy that we are approved for a new replacement. What they did though was to give us a gift card worth the money we paid for that camera since they want to give us options on what to shop. Its up to us to look for the same camera or an upgrade, etc. When we look around the store for cameras, they don’t have the latest Canon camera that I really like and so I told my husband that I should just wait for that one. He agreed with me but asked me what I want for the gift card. When I spotted the HDTV section, I asked my husband that we should checked them out. We always wanted to have a flatscreen LCD HDTV before and we just waited for so long to purchase one. Our old tv is taking a lot of space in the living room because of how big it is. Besides, its not energy saver! As we keep looking, we find it hard to decide which one to get because they’re all nice. My husband then told me to look for other stuff but I still ended up looking for HDTV HEHEHE….Oh boy, it took us about 3 hours to finally decide and I’m so glad we got the right tv that we really love. It has so many features on it. My favorite one is that I can also put my SD card and be able to view photos. It also includes Ipod docking so that you can also download what’s in your Ipod, etc.

Anyway, I hope I can purchase another canon camera very soon and it has to be the latest one. HEHEHEHE. I can’t wait!

Car incident

My husband was so frustrated because he accidentally bumped onto our friend’s car. He didn’t see her car while he was backing up our van because it was hidden in a very dark area. This incident happened after we have our worship practice one night. We went home early than the rest. My husband just leave a note on our friend’s car. The accident wasn’t really that bad that our friend didn’t even noticed any scratches or damages to her car but she appreciate a lot how honest my husband is. She told my husband not to worry about it but my husband insisted that she should file a report against the incident. I know that it costs a lot of money to pay for the incident but I am so glad that we do have a very good car insurance that took care of the accident. I hope and pray that there will be no more car accidents in the future. My husband learned a lot of lessons from that incident.

Planning to buy a motorhome

Since we love to travel a lot, me and my husband decided that we should get one of these nice motorhomes in the near future. We already looked for some and we’re very impressed. They have nice bedrooms, living room, bathrooms, etc. In other words, it does feels like your very own home. The best thing I like about them is that you can go anywhere you want in the comfort of your own home. They’re really a good investment and can save you a lot of money. If you own one of them, you don’t have to deal with paying too much on a hotel stay when you go on a vacation. I can’t wait to finally have one soon. It will be a lot of fun!

Health Insurance

I am so glad that we have a very good health insurance. I can’t imagine being sick or giving birth without any insurance. I remember when I gave birth to my daughter, we didn’t pay anything at all because our insurance covered all expenses. I am so glad that we are covered under a group health like Blue Cross Blue Shield NC. They’re really the best and we’re very thankful for all the benefits that we enjoyed from them. My friend got the same insurance and she is so happy about it. In addition to the benefits, they are so affordable too. What a great deal!

We found her!

One of our long lost friend just add us at facebook and we were so surprised what she has been through in life. First of all, we were so excited to finally get connected with her after all those long years of not having any communication with her. Anyway, one of the reasons why we haven’t heard from her for a long time is that she was been to a drug rehab. We’re just happy that she is done with the treatment and is now back to a normal and more healthy kind of life. She shared to us all her experiences while being treated and how she completely recovered. She said that it is a very refreshing experience for her to start a new life that is going to be more productive, rewarding and meaningful. Me and my husband are so happy for her.
