As a mom of a child who goes to school for the first time, I am just so excited that I want to get everything ready for her, even planning her lunch and snacks in advance. She will be in school for whole day. When her school starts, I can find a job for part time only. My friend will do the same thing since her daughter will be going to school too. Aside from my husband’s income, I really need to earn my own income too especially now that my niece in the Philippines will be in college this June and she will be going to Silliman University to take up BSNursing and Miriam’s school is not for free as she will be going to a private Christian school. Anyway, I will leave everything to God because I know that He will provide!

With my Masters degree in Special Education, I’ll be expected to be in the classroom soon and just the thought of it makes me really felt excited because I really love to teach children. Anyway, talking about online school, I found out that this Organizational development university has the best Masters program in Organizational Leadership where my friend is planning to take someday because she wants to advance her management position. In this day and age, it is very important to be prepared for the future and education is highly recommended. With Gonzaga University, you can be assured of a high quality education and because of this, they are ranks among the best colleges in the West and ranked one of the nation’s best universities. I already recommended this school to my friend and she is really excited especially that they have the exact Masters program that she is looking for. Online school is so convenient and I really recommend it to everyone. I’ve been there, done that!

Looking back, I can’t believe all the hardwork I’ve been through and how I made it to the finish line now! Definitely, God is my strength through it all. I can’t imagine my life without Him. Anyway, I got my graduation cap and gown now and I have to admit that I had teary eyes when I tried to put them on. It was really sentimental for me as I flashback some old time memories way back in the Philippines when I was in college there and how I envied those students who were able to graduate. I remember I attended my close friend college graduation and deep in my heart I’d wish I was one of the graduates. Now, I made it! My parents are so excited and really proud of me. They can’t wait to see my graduation pictures and videos. I have witnessed how they work so hard and made sacrifices just for me to be able to go to this university in the Philippines. We’re very poor but my education is very important to them and they wanted the best school for me. However, because of so many financial contraints when my father looses his government job, I decided to stop schooling for a while although I only have 1 semester left to graduate. When I first got here in the states (2004), I planned on going back to school but I thought that it was too impossible for me since the tuition fee is really expensive. In 2007, I looked for government grants so I can go to school but was still not so sure about it until my husband’s half filipino cousin recommended a very good Christian university where the tuition fee is affordable and high quality education. I remember he told us that this school is like the Harvard University. To make the story short, I ended up enrolling there and here I am now, soon to be marching with other graduates on commencement day this May 2nd!

He is enrolled already and will start his first class on March 9th in the same university that I went to. Its been a long time already that he was planning about going back to school but never happened because he wants me to finish first…. The cool thing about his education is that his employer will pay for it and thats what I’ve been telling him that he needs to take advantage of that because not everyone has that kind of priviledge. God is so amazing! He is providing all our needs and even more!

I am so excited for my husband. He can do it with God giving him the strength!
